Our Blue Plaque programme celebrates individuals with strong connections to Basildon who have made a lasting impact, whether in the arts, industry, or wider society. Working in partnership with other organisations, we research, commemorate, and install plaques at locations linked to their lives, helping to bring local history into the everyday landscape. Each plaque tells a story, highlighting the achievements of people who have helped shape the area and beyond. These projects are made possible through funding and support, and donations are always welcome to help us continue recognising and preserving these important links to our shared heritage.
